An Overview of the Google Ads Metrics Area

Expand your reach and retarget with Google Ads. Use Google Ads to plan, create, schedule, track and measure all your digital ad campaigns in one place.

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard, then click on the Google Ads widget. Note if this widget is not displayed, click on the custom button to add to your dashboard view.
  2. Click on the Metrics tab along the top. This area provides you with more in depth insight on the performance of individual Google Ads including: 
  • Campaign/Ad Name Description
  • Impressions
  • Cost
  • Clicks
  • CTR (Click Through Rate)
  • Conv (Conversions)
  • CR (Conversion Rate)
  • Visits
  • Average Pages
  • Goals

  1. To navigate this area, note that: 
  • There are separate sub tabs to display results for Google Search Ads and Google Display Ads.
  • There are filters on the top right to enable you to filter by status or by a specific campaign group.
  • The table initially displays a summary of results for each Ad group, you can click the arrow to the left of the campaign name to expand the view to see results for individual ads within this group.  

The insight given within the Google Ads Metrics area allows you to continually improve your ads based on learnings from which ads are performing best.
