An Overview of the Google Ads Summary Area

Expand your reach and retarget with Google Ads. Use Google Ads to plan, create, schedule, track and measure all your digital ad campaigns in one place. 

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard, then click on the Google Ads widget. Note if this widget is not displayed, click on the custom button to add to your dashboard view. 
  2. Click on the Summary tab along the top. This area provides you with a summary of your results from your Google Display Ads.

  1. Results available to view in this area include: 
  • Impressions by channel
  • Spend by channel
  • Clicks by channel
  • CPC by channel
  • Conversion by channel
  • CPCo by channel
  • Web Visits by Channel
  • Goals by Channel
  • Engagements/Leads by channel
  • Deals by channel
  • Deal value by channel
  • Sales by channel 
  1. Use the date filter on the top right to vary the date range of the results displayed. It will default to display the last month. You can also click on the key to turn off search or display spend if you only wish to show one. 
  2. Use the menu in the corner of available graphs to export them from the platform.

This area gives you the ability to review the impact of your Google Ad campaigns right through from click to close. The insight given allows you to continually improve your ads. The great thing about Summary is that these decisions don’t have to be made just based on the number of clicks as you can actually see if ads are driving sales.
