What is Contact Search?

How can I set up a Contact Search?

To get started simply navigate to Search on the main menu bar then into Searches

Step 1: Click on 'Create' located in the top right-hand corner and give your search a name .e.g. CMO - United Kingdom & Click on Create Search

This will then prompt you to the criteria area shown below where you can enter your search parameters.

The search criteria is divided in two areas: “Contact criteria” and “Company criteria”, and searches can be run by using one or both filtering areas. 

The more filters you enter in the filters area, the more specifics the results will be.

Step 2 : Insert your Contact and/or Company Criteria 

Contact Criteria

  • Job Title

In this area you can add as many job titles as you wish. We recommend that you use full job titles and abbreviations. For example: CMO or Chief Marketing Officer. 

Tip: If you are searching for contacts from multiple countries, we recommend you add the job titles in English as well as in the native language of that specific country. This will allow you to bring more contact records. 

  • Exclude Job Titles

If you are creating a search, contact titles can be excluded from that search. For example, If you are searching for Account Directors, you may want to Exclude Account Managers from your search. 

  • Seniority

You can use the drop down box to select different seniority levels, such as: CxO, Director, Manager, Owner, Partner and VP. 

  • Departments

You can also add specific departments you are interested in such as: Accounting, Business , HR, Legals, etc. 

  • Location

Users can add as many locations as they wish, this can be done by Region, Country, State and cities. 

  • Details

You can also search contacts by name, age range and skills they may possess. 

Company Criteria

  • General Information

In this area you will be able to search by the name of the companies you are interested in too. Similarly to the contact record, you will exclude any companies from the search. 

You can also insert filters such as: company size, Revenue, year founded, type of organisation as well as specifics domains. 

  • Location

You can search for companies based in different countries, states and cities. 

  • Industries

Use the drop down box to select those industries you would like the reach tool to find as well as exclusion or industries you don’t want the search to bring back. 

NAICS Code: A NAICS Code is a classification within the North American Industry Classification System. 

  • Technologies

You can search for contacts based on technologies used by the contact or organisation. For Example: SAP, Salesforce,etc. 

Step 3: Once you have finished entering your desired filters, the magic happens! “Click on Search” and this will generate the result founds based on your criteria.

By clicking on the drop down arrow beside the reveal button, you will be able to see an overview of the contact record found, which you can use prior to revealing the contact.

Step 3: Reveal your contacts “future customers”

There are multiple ways for you to reveal the contacts.

  1. Click on the reveal button besides the contact found. This will automatically reveal the contact email address and in some cases their telephone number. 
  2. By selecting the checkbox of those contacts you wish to reveal 
  3. By using the reveal function: Page, All or Number of Lead

Please note the maximum bulk revealed is 10.000 contacts. 

Step 4: Click Save & Exit and you return to the search area. When a search is created, the system will automatically create a widget with the criteria settings, creator, date created, contacts purchased and contacts available.
