What is Zym Link and how do I use it?

The purpose of this guide is to provide an understanding of what a Zym Link is and how you can create and measure performance within the platform.

What are Zym Links?

Zym Links are shortened customised URLs, with their purpose to drive traffic to external pages while measuring how many views each link received. Zym Links can be created, managed and shared across multiple channels within Zym.

If you have an existing webpage that you want to share in your marketing campaigns, you can drive traffic to any of these external pages with a fully trackable Zym Link and measure its success in real-time. The Zym Link takes your existing URL and converts it into a short trackable link. This can then be shared, and the results recorded and displayed on the platform.

Getting Started:

To get started, navigate to the “Build” area of the platform, and select the “Zym Link” tab.

Creating A Zym Link

Navigate to the 'Create' tab and click 'get started'.

  1. Give your Zym Link a name: This is a customised name that represents the purpose of the link.
  2. Paste the URL: This is the long URL that you have requested to shorten and track.
  3. Publish your Zym Link campaign: Launch your Zym Link to your desired channels. Similar to how a normal marketing campaign works, you will have the ability to choose any of the default channels on the platform as well as your customised channels. Select the channels you would like to activate for this campaign, and they will then appear on the right-hand panel. Once you have chosen your channels – select the launch button on each to access your customised, trackable URL.
  4. Please note that you can also add multiple sub-channels for each depending on the purpose of your campaign – Select the “Add New Sub Channel” to add additional sub-channels for each channel.

Published Area:

Here you can see the metrics for all published Zym Link campaigns:

  • Created By: Which user created this campaign.
  • Created: What date it was created on.
  • Views: This shows how many times your like was clicked on.

To get a deeper insight into how much attraction this link got, click the campaign name to see your views split by actual channel type.

You can filter this area by using the critera available:

How to measure performance?

Once you have launched your campaign, you can navigate to the “Launch” tab to see:

  • How many views each of your channels received.
  • How many views each of your sub-channels received.
  • The breakdown of views by day and by channel

Please note that you cannot edit the link after it has been created, therefore, you will have to create a new Zym Link campaign.
